The charge 5 insanely outperforms the Megaboom 3 in every sound aspect. I definitely think it is time for an upgrade, and some new UE booms should be soon by the end of the year or early next year, i think. It would be nice since i enjoy UE a lot. I have gotten in touch with UE, but they won't tell me anything unfortunately.

Unit switched off, would not switch on, bugger. Then turned off wall power and back on, power button came on without pushing it. Checked charge level and heard “100% charge". Yes impossible to use both apps unfortunately, I deleted the UE app off my new phone so it doesn’t automatically switch the settings back.
